Detailed communication with other departments and my team is critical. Creating a staff schedule with detailed responsibilities allows us to show up to work on the day of the event and get straight to work with everyone knowing what is expected and what each of our responsibilities are.
What we do in one event we do it for all events. Attention to detail is important no matter how big or small the events are.
For tee times - The first tee set up with a table, cooler, and tournament box.
For shotguns - Carts were staged similarly with pencils scorecards, towels, and water.
We can never over communicate. What we have seen is that participants enjoy receiving communications from the professional staff. Set expectations and let them know they can come to any of the staff with concerns or questions.
